Let the Summer Fun Begin! Just because school’s out doesn’t mean the books have to stay closed! Largo Public Library invites kids of all ages to join our Summer Reading Challenges: - Ages 0–5
- Ages 5–12
- Grades 6–12
Track your reading through the Beanstack App to earn badges and prizes all summer long! Prefer paper? No problem! Just stop by the Youth Services or Teen areas to pick up a reading log in person. Each age group has the chance to win fun prizes throughout the summer, so don't miss out! (P.S. Grown-ups—we didn’t forget you! Our “20 for 20: A Largo Public Library Birthday Celebration Challenge” kicks off July 1st. Stay tuned!)

Nan Colton as Mary Shelley Thu | Jun 12 | 6:00pm The horror theme started by the Largo Turns a Page featured author Grady Hendrix will continue with a live performance by Nan Colton. In this premier performance Nan will portray Mary Shelley, author of the gothic horror novel Frankenstein. This very special performance is presented by the Greater Largo Library Foundation. Tickets are $20.00. Tickets can be purchased at the Circulation Desk (cash or check only) or you may pay by credit card at www.gllf.org. Ticket sales will begin on May 1st and the deadline to purchase is June 10th. No tickets will not be sold on the evening of the event. Please contact the Foundation office at 727-586-7398 for additional information. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of the Largo Public Library.

Citizenship & Naturalization Classes Mon & Wed | 6:00 – 8:00 pm Are you a legal permanent resident of the United States seeking citizenship? We can assist you with preparation for the naturalization process, including civics, U.S. history, and interview practice. Classes are led by Learning Empowered, a nonprofit organization. New students can join anytime during the 11-week term.

Conversation Club Tuesdays | 6:15 - 7:30pm Fridays | 11:15am - 12:30pm (Starts 6/20!) All non-native English language learners are invited to attend weekly Conversation Club. This fun and engaging program provides an opportunity for individuals to practice their speaking and listening skills in an informal, down to earth atmosphere. Each session will have a different topic of discussion, topics might include conversations about travel, cooking, the job hunt, and other life skills. Registration is NOT required. Just show up and have fun conversing and making new friends. Note: conversation club on Tuesdays is NOT the same as conversation club on Fridays. So, if you can attend both, please do!
