Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) branches may be closed, but patrons can still engage with their library from the comfort of their homes. CCPL offers an array of digital resources, programming and services, and continues to expand these offerings every day. Check out what's happening this week at your Digital Library.

We will have a full schedule of virtual programming each week while our branches are closed. Check out this week's schedule below. Free Wi-Fi Available for Public Use
Community members without access to internet are invited to access the Wi-Fi outside of most CCPL branches. While CCPL remains closed due to the Coronavirus, the Library’s Wi-Fi extends beyond the walls of its buildings, providing access to patrons in the facility’s parking lot areas. The free Wi-Fi access is available from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. in the public areas outside of 16 of the 17 branches (Wi-Fi is not available at the Folly Beach branch). Please note that Wi-Fi is available at the Poe/Sullivan’s Island Library, but access to Sullivan’s Island is restricted to residents and approved non-residents only at this time. For more details, including a list of branches, visit ccpl.org.
Learn at Home with CCPL
We know that being stuck at home is tough. You want to keep learning, keep yourself and your kids engaged, and more, but that's easier said than done when you can't leave your house. To make things as easy as possible, we've created a one-stop shop for all of our digital resources. Visit ccpl.org/learnathome to see everything we have to offer. We will keep updating this page as we continue expanding our digital resources, so stay tuned!
Get Free Digital Access with CCPL's eCard
Don't have a CCPL library card but still want to access all our great digital resources? Charleston residents can now apply for a temporary digital library card. This card provides free access to most of CCPL's digital resources during the library closures. Applications must be made online and may require one to two days for processing. Applicants will not receive a physical card but will receive a card number that they can use to access the library's array of digital offerings. Sign up online at ccpl.org/ecard.
Have a Question? Just Ask a Librarian!
Have a question for the library during the closure? You can connect directly with a librarian on CCPL’s website via chat, text and email (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.), or connect with CCPL on Facebook.
These are just some of the many ways that CCPL is staying connected with patrons during these closures. For more info and updates, please visit ccpl.org or connect with the library on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
