Groundbreaking at Forest Green
On Saturday, September 14, the first shovels of earth were turned at the future site of the Forest Green Branch Library, a replacement for the existing branch on Forest Lane. The ceremony included remarks by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Adam McGough, Dallas Public Library Director Jo Giudice and key community stakeholders. The new Forest Green Branch, located at 9619 Greenville Avenue, will have an additional 10,000 square feet of space, making it no longer the smallest library in the system. The branch is scheduled to be completed by May 2021.
