When you explore your family history even a little bit,
you probably soon find that you've got quite a lot of
'genealogy stuff' accumulating. It may be piles/files of notes
you've taken as you worked. If you are lucky it is family bibles,
old diaries or notebooks, certificates and other documents with wonderful, first person information to share about your family members and their doings. Perhaps even jewelry or needlework artifacts that support their story. If you've been working on genealogy research for a while you may have more of this
than you can cope with!
At this next FHIG meeting we'll share our ideas and experience on how to make it more manageable.
Feel free to bring examples of organizing tools or techniques
you've found helpful. If you have particular materials that are challenging you, be ready to ask others for suggestions.
Those who are just getting started as well as
those who have already amassed a good deal of information
about their family are welcome. Everyone will likely go home
with some new ideas to try out.
