Crafty KidsMondays 10:30am-12:00pm Each week, kids can drop in to create a one-of-a-kind craft inspired by the week’s adventure theme. From building to decorating, every project offers a chance to explore and make something special to take home.

SMPL: Adventure ZoneMondays 1:30-3:00pm Step into the SMPL Adventure Zone—a drop-in space where kids can explore, create, and play at their own pace. Choose from a variety of stations like LEGO building, bracelet making, bookmark colouring, board games, and more. Each week features a special station inspired by the theme, so there’s always something new to try and discover!

Reading HelpTuesdays 10:30-12:00pm Wednesdays 1:30-3:00pm Want to boost confidence and skills in reading and language? Book a free 30-minute session with Allie, our Summer Program Coordinator, for personalized, one-on-one support focused on building vocabulary, comprehension, and literacy. These sessions are designed for school-age children and are available by appointment only, with bookings opening one week in advance.

Discovery DenTuesdays 1:30-3:00pm Join us for a fun-filled program where kids dive into exciting topics through hands-on experiments, creative problem-solving, and curious exploration. From making slime and conducting scavenger hunts to fingerprint forensics and balloon experiments, each week sparks curiosity and encourages children to ask questions, explore new ideas, and uncover something amazing!

Summer Book Club Wednesdays 10:30- 11:30 am Dive into an action-packed story each week with Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, followed by a movie screening at the end of the summer to compare the book and film. Join us for fun discussions and exciting adventures on and off the page! Participants will earn a certificate upon completing the book and receive a special bracelet, adding a bead each week to represent Camp Half-Blood as they journey through the story.

Reading in the ParkThursdays 10:00-11:00 am Join us for an outdoor story time every week! Each session features a new selection of fun and engaging stories. Since this program takes place outside the library, adult supervision is required. Bring your family, find a comfortable spot, and enjoy stories together in the great outdoors.

Adventure Book Reading Log
This summer, every book opens the door to a new adventure. Kids can track their reading, set personal goals, and collect badges in their own Adventure Book. Along the way they will unlock prizes, discover surprises, and build strong reading skills all while having fun.

Badges As kids complete reading goals in their Adventure Book, they’ll earn badges to colour in and collect. Some badges unlock a surprise prize—kids will get to choose from the mystery prize bag to see what they’ve won!

Milestones The more you read, the more rewards you will earn! Juniors (K–Gr. 3): 5, 10, 15 & 20 hours Seniors (Gr. 4–6): 10, 20, 30 & 50 hours Each milestone unlocks a local prize, like a free pita from Pita Pit, a small fry, an ice cream treat, or a swim pass. Keep reading and keep collecting!
