October’s Exhibit: Generation & Other Woodcuts & Engravings by Donna Day Westerman
This is the premiere showing of Donna Day Westerman’s 14-foot-long woodcut, “Generation,” which demonstrates how weather in northern California is determined by weather patterns in the Himalayas. Other woodcuts and engravings will also be on view. After the reception, the artist will give an illustrated talk about how she makes her woodcuts and wood engravings.
Donna is an artist-in-residence at Kala Art Institute in Berkeley and works out of her Oakland studio. She is a professor emeritus of Orange Coast College and past president of the Los Angeles Printmaking Society. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally.
