"Around the World in 90 Days" begins Monday, January 2. Ends Saturday, March 31. Take a virtual voyage around the world when you pick up your game board at the Circulation desk, available from January 2. Read just four books that take place in different areas of the world. Alaska: Beyond the Cruise Ships. Sunday, January 7. 2:00 p.m. Writer and scientist Scott Weidensaul, who has been exploring Alaska for more than 30 years, takes us to some of the most remote parts of this immense and wild state, from the isolated Aleutian and Pribilof islands to native villages within sight of Russia, and wilderness rivers on the North Slope – breathtaking landscapes alive with birds and mammals.  Beginning January, kick start 2018 by signing up for Adult enrichment classes. We offer a diverse selection of class topics from Bridge for beginners, writing classes, technology, arts & crafts, to nature study. OPEN SPACE (NEW for teens)
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. Beginning Thursday, January 4, teens in grade 6 and up have a brand "space" at the library dedicated to them. Drop in to chill out at the library. We have PS4 and free wifi, do homework, listen to music or chat with friends: this is perfect for kids who need somewhere to go after school to stay safe and just be themselves. Moving and Gaming (For kids 8+. Adults welcome, too!) Sunday, January 14. 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop in to enjoy a showing of Star Trek Beyond on our new AV system and stay to see a demonstration of Artemis, a new Star Trek simulation game.
