Summer Reading June 4 - August 4 Your next reading adventure awaits. The theme of this year's Summer Reading program is Reading Takes You Everywhere.
Readers of all ages can visit ccclib.org/summer for activities and challenges to feed the imagination and explore new skills. Get started reading and begin tracking your progress, earning badges, and winning prizes. Visit your local community library for free and fun happenings all summer.
Lunch at the Library
Contra Costa County Library is serving free lunches to children and teens at nine library locations this summer.
Lunch at the Library unites libraries and meal providers in an effort to keep kids healthy and engaged while school is out for the summer.

Pop-up Storytime at Discover & Go Venue
Come experience a pop-up storytime and celebrate Lord Richard's birthday at the Lindsay Wildlife Experience, one of our Discover & Go destinations. Lord Richard is Lindsay's 44 year old turkey vulture.

Meet Your Librarians - Sierra Campagna
Sierra Campagna is the Senior Community Library Manager at the Orinda Library. With the Contra Costa County Library for six years, she has also worked at the Dougherty Station, Walnut Creek, Ygnacio Valley, and Moraga branches.

Kensington Library - Temporarily Closed for a Refresh
The Kensington Library is closed from June 4 - June 12 for a facility refresh project that will include painting and new furniture in the Children's, Teen, and periodical reading areas. Kensington Library will reopen on Thursday, June 14 at 10 a.m.Read about the project
St. Mary's Road in Moraga
St. Mary's Road will be completely closed between S. Lucille Road in Lafayette and Bollinger Canyon Road in Moraga between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday - Saturday from June 7 - August 14.
To get to the Moraga Library during the road closure, take Moraga Road from Lafayette or Moraga Way from Orinda. For more information on the closure, please see the April 28 article in the East Bay Times.
