Concert: Katie Linnane & Ivan Goff / Traditional Irish Music
11/13/25 @ 7:00pm - 8:15pm Community Room Nanuet Public Library Registration is required.
Combining both traditional and contemporary repertoire, the Katie Linnane and Ivan Goff Duo merges fiddle and uilleann pipes to create a dynamic sound rooted in the age-old Irish music tradition. Artist Bios
Katie Linnane is a fiddle player and former step dancer, born and raised in New York -- a hotbed for traditional Irish music. Katie's music reflects a deep-rooted connection to the tradition, shaped by her early studies learning from the legendary Willie Kelly and a childhood steeped in Irish music at home. Through Willie, Katie developed an affinity for Clare music and a keen ear for exceptional repertoire. A sought-after fiddle teacher and performer, Katie is active across the Northeast and Europe. Katie’s current musical focus is a duo with husband, Ivan Goff (Danú) who plays uilleann pipes and flute. Katie performs at festivals across the country and in Ireland, such as St. Louis Tionól and Dungarvan Tradfest.
Ivan Goff is from Dublin, Ireland and plays uilleann pipes (Irish bellows-blown pipes) and Irish wooden flute. He is a member of the celebrated Irish traditional band, Danú and performs with the Irish Music Masters with John Doyle and Seamus Egan. He has performed with many household names in Irish music including Dervish, Lúnasa, Martin Hayes, Eileen Ivers, and a range of artists including Iarla Ó Lionáird, Steve Earle, and Hozier. Other credits span TV, film, theater, guest performances that include the New York Philharmonic, and Broadway productions such as Sting's The Last Ship, Come From Away, and Riverdance. Ivan has a PhD in music from NYU.
