Learn where to get your own cosplay costumes and how to make a cape and various props. Then learn how to put it all together with makeup with Maria Atubiga!
Getting Published for the First Time
Presented by local author JG Faherty. Learn the strategies for getting published, including how to prepare a cover letter, how to prepare the manuscript, and how to find markets for specific types of work.
How to Draw Anime & Manga
Learn how to draw anime and manga style face, eyes and hair on chibi (short) and kawaii (cute) figures.
Stage Combat Demonstration
Presented by Christopher Plummer, a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors. Watch a demonstration of various sword play techniques which you can use to improve your Cosplay technique.
Tea Time with Grell Sutcliff
Spend some time with Grell Sutcliff in this fun-filled session of Q&A, mini-games, and prizes!
Tokyo Ghoul
Join our two hosts in a fun-filled, interactive game of Q&A, truth or dare and mini-games where audience members may win some cool prizes!

Cosplay Contest
Come dressed up as your favorite character and enter our cosplay contest! Registration is from 10 am - 3 pm. Voting will take place 3 pm - 4 pm. One winner per age group will win fabulous prizes!
Maid Café
Maid cafés are a popular type of Japanese cosplay restaurant where waitresses dress as maids. Come and indulge in a variety of sandwiches, scones, cakes, and other fancies and enjoy a unique experience that's hard to find anywhere else!
Movie Marathon
Enjoy a taste of some cult favorites: 10 am - "My Neighbor Totoro" G, 100 mins. 11:30 am - "Superman" PG, 143 mins. 2 pm - "Sailor Moon" G, 60 mins. 3 pm - "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" PG, 60 mins.
Last Call for Artists, Vendors & Panelists!
We're looking for artists, vendors and panelists for our comic/anime convention on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10 am - 4 pm. If you would like to apply, please fill out the appropriate application below.
Applications must be received by June 30, 2018. Space is limited. Submission of an application does not guarantee a space. Applicants will be notified of space availability no later than Friday, July 13, 2018. Tables (30" x 72") and chairs will be provided by the library. There is no fee for tables. Tables are limited to one per artist/vendor.

Are you a fan of comics, anime, video games and other fandoms? Show off your creativity at our first annual King Con Art Show this August. Submit your ready-to-hang painting, drawing, or photograph at the Adult Reference Desk at the Main Library with your name, title of the piece (if any), medium, and contact info attached to your art work by Friday, July 27. Maximum 2 art pieces per person.
