The book club will meet on May 6th to discuss Glass Houses by Louise Penny. On June 3rd, the book club will discuss The Underground Girls of Kabul by Jenny Nordberg. Call the library at 336-703-2920 for more details. Meets on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m.

Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring a dish to attend. The Cookin' Club will meet on May 15 and will be about clean food and clean eating in honor of spring cleaning. The Cookin' Club will also meet on June 19. Meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m.

Outer Space ScienceMonday, June 10 at 4:00 p.m. We’ll be creating moon phases and experimenting with how impact craters are formed. Be prepared to get messy. For ages 5-10.

Space ColonyMonday, June 17 at 2:00 p.m. What would space colonies on other planets look like? Join us and build a colony out of recycled materials to support life on another planet. For children of all ages.

Mars RoverWednesday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. Navigate an obstacle course and practice sending instructions to our LEGO Mindstorm rovers. For ages 10-17. Registration required.

Wednesday, May 22 @ 4 p.m. Join us at the Clemmons Branch Library and attend our Superhero Academy! Participants will cycle through five stations that are vital to being an Official Superhero such as keeping your identity a secret, defeating villains, and testing out your superhero skills. Graduate as an Official Superhero and protector of the library! For children in 1st-5th grades.

Wednesday, May 8 @ 4 p.m. Know everything there is about your fandom? Show off your nerdy trivia knowledge by banding together with other fandoms to create the ultimate trivia team. See which team knows the most about Harry Potter, Dr. Who, and the DC and Marvel universes. This program is for ages 10-17.

Saturday, May 11 @ 11 a.m.
The Clemmons Branch Library will be celebrating Mother's Day with origami cards and flowers. Stop in to the children's area starting at 11 a.m. for this fun craft. This program will be led by Japanese Outreach Initiative Ambassador, Nana Watanobe. For children in 1st-5th grades.
