CLEMMONS BRANCH LIBRARY NEWSLETTER Excitement abounds at the Clemmons Branch library in May and June. A bestselling author pays the library a visit, Summer Reading begins, and our monthly programs continue!

Tuesday, May 16 @ 12:30 p.m. You’ve loved her books. Now come meet New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews in-person! Snacks and beverages from her brand new Beach House Cookbook will be provided by the Cookin’ Book Club. Volunteers from Bookmarks will be on-hand selling books and Andrews will be available after her presentation to sign them. Beachwear is encouraged, so make sure you wear your flip-flops, shorts, and Hawaiian shirts! No registration required. Call 336-703-2920 for more details. This event will serve as the Cookin’ Book Club’s May meeting. The club will resume meeting on the third Wednesday of the month in June.

Clemmons Cookin' Cookbook Club Choose a recipe from a pre-selected book and we’ll make a copy for you. Bring in the finished dish on the day of the meeting to share with other members. Must bring dish to attend. Meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 12:30 p.m.

Join us on June 9th at Bailey Park in the Innovation Quarter in downtown Winston-Salem at 6:30 p.m. for our Summer Reading Kick-Off. Fan favorite band Big Bang Boom will be our featured performer for the kick-off. The all-dad band specializes in kids' music. Adults, teens, and children are all invited to attend the kick-off and share in the evening fun! Reading logs and information for all ages will be available.
