We have some great programs planned, whether you're looking to get in the holiday spirit, learn a little history, or have a few laughs. And that's not counting all our regular groups for knitters, gamers, and job seekers. Whatever your interests are, you're bound to find something to do at the Library!

No Club Book Club!
All month long!
 
Enjoy book club selections without the meeting. We will select a monthly book club selection on the first of each month; you check it out from the Library (monthly selections will be available at the circulation desk and online, if available).

Intermediate Knitting Group
Mondays throughout October 11:00am

This group is for intermediate to advanced knitters eager to explore techniques like wrap and turn and provisional cast-on. Join us for friendly conversation, skill-building, and tackling new knitting challenges together!

Board Game Night featuring Mah Jongg Monday
Mondays throughout October at 6:30pm
 
Join us for a weekly meetup to play Board Games, including American Mah Jongg! The Library is excited to offer an assortment of board games, including card games, strategy games, party games, and Mah Jongg sets in an inviting space to play each Monday night.  
 
After a quick introduction, you'll be off and running with different fun games each week! Participants are also welcome to bring your own favorite games to share. If you would like to play Mah Jongg, please indicate this on your registration; National Mah Jongg League rules will be followed. If you already have a NMJL Card of Standard Hands and Rules, please bring it with you.

Wednesdays throughout October at 10:00am
 
Join us for a weekly meetup to play American Mah Jongg! The Library is excited to offer Mah Jongg sets, card tables, and an inviting space to play each Wednesday morning. National Mah Jongg League rules will be followed. If you already have a NMJL Card of Standard Hands and Rules, please bring it with you.
 
Please note that no instruction will be offered during this program. Registration is required for any sessions you would like to attend; space is limited.

The Library 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group meets via Zoom on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, from 9:30am to 11:30am. Informal networking takes place from 9am to 9:30am and 11:30am to noon.
 
If you are unemployed and actively looking, underemployed, seeking a new career direction, re-entering the job market after a long employment gap, or recently retired and looking for your "Encore Career," this networking group program is perfect for you! Remember, 85% of jobs are found through networking!

Memory Café
Wednesday, October 8, 1:00pm
 
Our monthly Memory Cafe, jointly sponsored by the Library, COA, and Dementia Friendly Billerica, takes place in the Library's meeting room on the second Wednesday of the month. The Memory Cafe is an open and welcoming event for people with memory loss and their care partners.
 
Librarian Mary Jo Herlihy will lead a Tales and Travels session on the city of Boston. Patrons are more than welcome to share their memories and experiences with the city. Light refreshments will be provided.
