Greetings from Rural Hall Branch Library! Thank you for your interest in Rural Hall Branch Library events. Forsyth County Public Libraries will begin our Summer Reading Program on Friday, June 8th. This year the theme is Libraries Rocks! Join us at the Central Library for the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party at 6:30 pm. Visit the Forsyth County Public Library website for more information on upcoming events and programs! Join us for a special Bilingual Preschool Storytime on Thursday, June 7th. Visit the Children's Section of Rural Hall Branch Library on Fridays during June and July for craft activities. The Children's Crafting Corner program will start at 3 pm and varies each week. Check off your favorites and turn in your list by July 27th. The top 10 will be announced on Monday, July 30th at 2 pm during our Summer Reading Finale party. NC Zoo: Animal Sound Bites Monday, June 18, 11 am Ever wonder what animals are saying? Animals make all kinds of sounds to help them survive. Through sound bites, animal artifacts, and a few live animals, we will learn why animals are making so much noise. This program is open to children of all ages and their caregivers. Teen Poetry Workshop Wednesday, June 20, 4-5 pm Teens (ages 12-17) are welcome to attend a Teen Poetry Workshop led by L.B. the Poet. L.B. the Poet is well know for his verse, style of words, and a delivery that will capture your heart and mind. Book Discussion & Knit Along Tuesday, June 26, 6 pm Come discuss the latest in the Library Lovers Mystery series by Jenn McKinlay. We will also work through the hat pattern included in the book. If you are new to knitting or to making hats, bring your yarn and needles to learn.

S.T.E.M. Session Wednesday, June 27, 4-5 pm S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Sessions are monthly programs that allow children (5-11 years old) to learn, build, create, and experiment with new objects and ideas. This month we will be experimenting with different objects to create music.

Music and Movement Second Thursday, 11-11:30 am Join us for a fun-filled program for children (0-5 years old) and their caregivers. We will have an interactive storytime and use props (shaker eggs, scarves, and rhythm sticks) to sing and dance to the music.
