The 2019 One Book selection is "Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI" by David Grann. The book details the true story of how the newly-created Federal Bureau of Investigation uncovered a chilling conspiracy to murder members of the Osage Nation, in Oklahoma.
The One Book series of activities begins with a visit from Sarah O'Donnell from the Osage Nation Historic Preservation Office in Pawhuska, OK. Author David Grann will speak and sign books at two events Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019: 10:30 a.m. at the Venice Theatre (currently a wait list); 7 p.m. at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.
