Free pumpkins will be available for you to pickup from the library, carve, and return to be entered into the Glow.
A Pumpkin Carving event will be hosted on October 22nd with the pumpkins then being entered into the Glow.
Everyone is also welcome and encouraged to carve and bring their own pumpkins to enter as well.
All pumpkins must be delivered by 5PM at the library on the day of the Glow and must be taken home after the Glow. All unclaimed pumpkins will be disposed off.

Banned Books Fair at SUNY Oneonta

Celebrate the freedom to read at the Banned Book Fair at SUNY Oneonta! Enjoy banned book karaoke, enter our raffle for a chance to win free books, and grab some delicious food.
Welcome to the exciting and unpredictable world of gel plate printing! In this hands-on and stress-free intro class, we will begin by pulling several simple background prints to get comfortable with the basic process. We’ll then explore various overlaying techniques using handmade masks and botanicals to create prints that are uniquely beautiful and unexpected.
You’ll leave with at least five pieces that you can use for anything from collage fodder to wrapping paper to book covers.
No artistic experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
Taught by Heather Stalter, who is excited to share this mesmerizing process with others, this class is for adults and teens 16 and over.

End Period Poverty, Period

Join us for an informative program addressing the realities of period poverty.
Educators from Cooperstown Food Pantry and Opportunities for Otsego will share how period poverty impacts individuals and families, and what their organizations are doing to support neighbors in need.
Attendees are invited to bring donations of period products and body wipes, which will be gratefully accepted at the door and added to the library’s soon-to-come Period Pantry.
Pumpkin Carving Workshop

Gut and carve your own jack-o-lantern to be entered into the library’s annual Pumpkin Glow!
*Pumpkins will be for one per group. Please do not sign up for multiple slots for this event.*
Your jack-o-lantern will be available for pick up at the end of the Glow. Please take your pumpkin home at that time, otherwise it will be disposed of.
