Marblehead Peninsula Writing Group September 2 & 16; 6:00-7:30 p.m. Join the Marblehead Peninsula Writing Group at their bi-monthly (twice per month) meeting! Get feedback on your own writing, provide advice for other writers, and learn more about the craft. This is a supportive group, open to all levels of writers and facilitated by an experienced writing teacher. You don't have to bring any of your own writing to share; all who are interested in writing are welcome. Local Author Reading September 4; 6-7 p.m. Looking for your next great LOCAL read? Join a group of local authors for a reading of short excerpts from their books. Authors will have books on hand to sell, so bring along some cash. AND, if you're a local author (of any stripe), feel free to bring your own work to share. No registration required. |
Marblehead Peninsula Coffee Hour September 15, 10-11 a.m. Join us for FREE coffee, tea, and conversation at the Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library. The idea behind the coffee hour is to give Peninsula residents and employees a chance to talk with each other in a comfortable and civil setting. This is an open, free-form conversation. Crafting with Magoo: Faux Stained Glass I & II September 17 AND 24, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Join Magoo (Margaret) to make a really nifty (and colorful) framed faux stained glass picture. IMPORTANT: This project will be spread out over two weeks. You'll draw the black outline of the picture on September 17 and add the colors on September 24. No registration required. |
ALL AGES: Puzzle Mania September 20, 11 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Come have fun with puzzles and win prizes from Netty's Famous Chili Dogs! We'll have sets of identical puzzles for different age groups (from little ones on up to adults), and puzzlers can work independently or bring a team!
