Marblehead Peninsula Writing Group
March 3 & 17, 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Join the Marblehead Peninsula Writing Group at their bi-monthly (twice per month) meeting! Get feedback on your own writing, provide advice for other writers, and learn more about the craft. This is a supportive group, open to all levels of writers and facilitated by an experienced writing teacher. You don't have to bring any of your own writing to share; all who are interested in writing are welcome.
Email (dkimmel@seolibraries.org) or call (419 798-0477) Dave Kimmel if you have any questions about the group!
No registration required.
Trivia for Prizes
March 11, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Join us for a Trivia contest with a focus on life in the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s! We'll have categories for history, local history, music, movies, television, toys, food, cars, etc.  Every right answer delivers a ticket that you can “cash in” for a free gently used book or DVD from those we've weeded from our library collection.
No registration required!

Fast Things: Hot Wheels® and Slot Cars
March 21, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Get ready to race!  We'll have a collection of Hot Wheels® and tracks, along with a kids' slot car track.  Bring your own cars and see how they race. Ages 3+. No registration required. Children 8 and under need to have a parent or adult stay with them.
Paws for Reading
March 26, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Calling all kids!  Come read with our therapy dog, Sophie! Therapy dogs can reduce anxiety and improve focus & attention span. Sophie will be a nonjudgmental listener as you practice your reading and communication skills with her or have us read with you to her. Even if you are at the "pre-reading" stage and want to just tell Sophie a story, feel free to come give it a try. Bring your own book or choose one that we have available.
Space is limited to four separate 15-minute reading sessions. Registration is required and opens two weeks before the program. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Crafting with Magoo Kids:
Marble Painting
March 31, 3:00-4:00 p.m.
It's not painting marbles, but rather painting with marbles. The process is fun and open-ended. It's easy to do. May be a little messy, so wear clothes that you won't mind getting paint on. Plus, the end result looks pretty good - a wonderfully abstract piece of art!
No registration is required but supplies will be limited. Children 8 and under need to have a parent or adult stay with them.
