Yoga
April 1, 8, 15, 22, & 29; 11-a.m.-Noon
 
Join Cheryl Sauvey for a one-hour yoga session at the Marblehead Branch. No experience required.  Limit of 14 participants.
 
Registration is required.  Either call the library 419-798-0477 or register online. Registration for the next week should open up at 10:00 a.m. on the day of each session.  Please call the library if you have any difficulties or questions.
Waking Up the Garden: Preparing Your Garden for Summer Success
April 2, 6-7 p.m.
Spring is here, and while it's still early for planting delicate plants, there's plenty you can do to wake up your garden for growing season. Join Lakeside Chautauqua's Director of Horticulture, Kyle Bueter, to learn about garden cleanup, preparing the soil, mulching, pruning shrubs and perennials, planting annuals for early spring color, and planning for summer annuals.
No registration necessary. 
Marblehead Peninsula Writing Group
April 7 & 21; 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Join the Marblehead Peninsula Writing Group at their bi-monthly (twice per month) meeting! Get feedback on your own writing, provide advice for other writers, and learn more about the craft. This is a supportive group, open to all levels of writers and facilitated by an experienced writing teacher. You don't have to bring any of your own writing to share; all who are interested in writing are welcome.

Crafting with Magoo: DIY Decorative Beehives
April 15, 12:30-2:00 p.m.
Who wants to learn how to make a DIY Decorative Beehive?  We will have 90 minutes to be busy bees to get this project finished. Let's put a little Spring into our homes.
 
Registration is required. Limit 10 participants. Registration opens April 1.

Story Time 
April 9, 4:30-5:15 p.m.
Join us for 45 minutes of stories, songs, crafts, and fun!  For ages 3+. Parents or caretakers must remain with their children.
No registration required!
Tech All Around Us 
April 14, 6-7 p.m.
Kids! Join us for a look at the technology all around us. We'll talk about what technology is, search for technology around the library, examine some "old-time" technologies, and talk with our adult partners about what technology was like when they were growing up...and even when their parents were growing up!
 
Ages six and older. No registration required, but all participants must be accompanied by an adult. 
Paws for Reading 
April 23, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Calling all kids!  Come read with our therapy dog, Sophie! Therapy dogs can reduce anxiety and improve focus & attention span. Sophie will be a nonjudgmental listener as you practice your reading and communication skills with her or have us read with you to her. Even if you are at the "pre-reading" stage and want to just tell Sophie a story, feel free to come give it a try. Bring your own book or choose one that we have available.  
Space is limited to four separate 15-minute reading sessions. Registration is required and opens two weeks before the program. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Crafting with Magoo Kids: Scribble Art
April 25, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Let's make some scribble art, an easy, no prep drawing activity for artist of any age and skill level. Join me as I show you how you can turn any scribble into a fun and colorful masterpiece! 
No registration necessary.  8 and under need to have an adult present.

Pulitzer Prize Book Club
April 9, 4-5 p.m.
Visit Marblehead Peninsula Branch Library to read & discuss a Pulitzer Prize winning book. Now is your chance to read one and discuss it with a lively group!   This month's book is American Pastoral, by Phillip Roth.

Otterbein Book Club

Otterbein Marblehead SeniorLife Community

The Otterbein Book Club is open to anyone; you do not need to be a resident of Otterbein to participate. This month's book is Her Hidden Genius, by Marie Benedict. Copies of the book are available at the library branch.

Tech Help sessions are held on Tuesdays 3-4 p.m. and Wednesdays 10-11 a.m.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Calling all caregivers! Sign up your children from birth until kindergarten for this early literacy program on Beanstack. Prizes can be picked up at the library for registration and each 100 books read.
