What is the Marion County Internet Library (MCIL) and why am I receiving this newsletter?
The MCIL is a collection of databases available to all residents of Marion County Indiana. The purpose of the MCIL is to provide authoritative research databases to all Marion County high schools that would otherwise not have access to to limited budgets. Knowing how to use these resources for research helps high school and college students succeed academically. 
 
You are receiving this newsletter because you are are a librarian, media specialist, teacher, administrator, or employee of a high school or university library in Marion County Indiana.

How does the MCIL work?
  • The databases are available to all high schools in Marion County and eligible university libraries. 
  • Your school can have its own resource page as well as unique links to most databases so that students can use the resources at school without a library card.
  • The Indianapolis Public Library manages the databases available from the Marion County Internet Library
MCIL Training 
MCIL trainer, Hannah Murphy is available to come to your school for training and professional development days.  Just email Hannah at hmurphy@indypl.org to schedule training for the spring and summer!
