Yarn and Conversation June 12th at 4pm Banning Branch Library Calling all fiber arts enthusiasts. Bring your current work in progress and join other crafters to work in a friendly environment. Whether you knit, crochet, embroider, or something else, all skill levels welcome.

Summer Kickoff Carnival June 21st at 10am Central Library It's time for HBPL's annual Summer Reading Program, and we're kicking things off with a fun family carnival outside the Central Library! At the Carnival, you can sign up for the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge and enjoy games, crafts, food, and more.

Sip and Read at Shipley Nature Center June 25th at 5pm Reading in nature is both therapeutic and fun. Join us for an hour of relaxing at Shipley Nature Center. tea will be served but there is no food allowed at the Nature Center.

Monday Movie Night June 23rd at 6pm Central Library Join us for a Monday Night Movie! We'll be watching Wicked based on the book by Gregory Maguire and the hit Broadway musical. Popcorn and light refreshments will be served. All ages and families are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Table Top Games June 27th at 3pm Central Library In this monthly series of tabletop games you'll learn the basics of a featured game. Supplies will be provided and you'll get to play with other participants. No previous knowledge is required. This month the featured game is chess.

Floriani Embroidery Software June 5th at 10am Central Library Want to take your embroidery projects to the next level? This workshop is designed for patrons who are already familiar with the embroidery machines in the Makerspace but want to dive deeper into the design software side of things. In this hands-on session, our Makerspace coach will guide you through the process of creating your own embroidery design using free software. Register here.

Walking Book Club June 4th at 11:30am Central Library Meets in front of the library Meet other audiobook listeners and book lovers while exercising and enjoying the outdoors. We will be walking the one mile path at Central Park.

Buffet Book Club June 6th at 2pm Central Library A book club where everyone chooses their own book but with one common ingredient! June's common ingredient will be Folklore. Choose any book, fiction or non-fiction, that deals with folklore. Pick a fable and bring it to the table.
