Welcome to February Programming
February brings ample opportunities to warm up with a good book, explore new programs, and connect with our community.  Whether you plan to sample the Buffet Book Club, express your creativity, or have fun dancing at a silent disco, HBPL can help you fall deeper in love with reading, learning and discovery.  
 
As always, registering is greatly appreciated and assures participants receive updates on programs.

Silent Disco Party

Dance the night away at HBPL's Silent Disco Party!
We will be having a mini history exhibit, fun crafts, and of course, a dance floor to experience a Silent Disco Party at the library! To tune in to our Silent Disco Party

Lion Dance Festival
February 19th at 4:30pm
Central Library
Lion dancers from the Dragon Phoenix Lion and Dragon Dance Team will be back for their fourth annual performance at our Lion Dance Festival! We’ll have crafts and activities, with the special dance performance starting promptly at 5:15pm!
Please be aware that the dance is accompanied by traditional drums, which are very loud.

Craft Supply Swap
February 28th at 9am

Join us Saturday, February 28 in the Talbert Room for our craft supply swap.  Craft supplies are generously donated by the public and are free to the public to take home. If you would like to donate, we will accept donations of clean, new/gently used craft supplies from Saturday, February 21st – Friday, February 27th during library hours. Please bring supplies to Borrower Services. People who donate will receive an early entry ticket to this event. Early entry is from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. General entry is from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. No registration required.

Sashiko Visible Mending

Central Library
Come mend your very loved clothing using the Japanese Sashiko Visible Mending method! This workshop will teach you the basics of Sashiko Mending
 to use on your own clothing! Please bring an item to work on. Denim, canvas, thick linens and cottons will be the best for this project. Sewing supplies will be provided.
 This program is for ages 14+.
