Murray Irish Dancers Saturday, March 9th at 11:00am For all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children). Enjoy a live step dancing performance by the talented young dancers of Murray School of Irish Dance! Move along with this lively demonstration of Irish culture, tradition, and music just in time to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.

Creature Teachers Tuesday, March 26th at 11am For all ages. All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children). Back by popular demand! Creature Teachers return this spring, bringing animals, knowledge and the chance to touch and get to know wildlife up close and personal. Meet a variety of exotic reptiles and creepy crawlies at the library while learning about the vital roles these creatures play in their ecosystems.

Family Movie Thursday, March 28th from 4:00 to 6:00pm All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children). Looking for something to do during spring break? Visit the library for a free movie showing that’s great for all ages! Popcorn will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own treats to enjoy during the movie. Comfy clothes and extra blankets or pillows welcome!

Toddler Storytime Mondays from 10:30 to 11:00am For ages 16 to 36 months. Toddler Storytime takes place every Monday at 10:30 am! Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, dances, and activities aimed at children between the ages of 18 and 36 months. Adults are expected to sit with children and participate.

Preschool Storytime Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:00am For ages 3 to 6 years. An interactive storytime for children and their grown-ups filled with stories, songs, rhymes, and activities geared toward getting kids ready to read. Adults are expected to sit with children and participate.

Messy Arts & Crafts Tuesday, March 5th from 10:30 to 11:30am For ages 0 to 6 years. Let your little one’s creativity run wild with sensory arts and crafts every 1st Tuesday of the month. It’s okay to make a mess! All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children).

Reading Buddies Mondays, March 11th and 25th from 5:00 to 6:00pm For ages 5 to 13 years. Need practice reading? Sign up for a session of Reading Buddies at the Aloha Community Library! Kids can improve their reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a trained therapy animal. Sessions are 15 minutes each between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. STEM Lab: Catapults! Wednesday, March 13th from 2:30 to 4:00pm For children ages 5 to 13. All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children). Let's learn about engineering from the days of the ancient Greeks as we explore the mechanisms of catapults. Everyone will get to build their own device and measure its throwing power.

Drop in to learn about local flora and fauna from the knowledgeable nature experts of Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District. All ages welcome! All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children).

LEGO Free Play Wednesday, March 27th from 2:30 to 4:00pm For children ages 5 to 13. All children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum 1 adult per 5 children). Come explore your creativity with LEGOs every 4th Wednesday of the month! Spend the afternoon creating masterpieces out of the legendary colorful building blocks. We’ll provide the LEGOs; you provide imagination!

Tech Assistant Sessions Tuesdays from 4:00 to 6:00pm Wednesdays from 6:00 to 8:00pm Need assistance with basic computer skills? We can help! Drop in during a regularly scheduled tech assistant session or call to reserve a longer appointment (limit 1 hour per person).

Sit n Stitch Thursdays, March 7 & 21 from 1:30 to 3:00pm Mondays, March 11 & 25 from 6:00 to 7:30pm Bring your knitting, crochet, or other yarn project, and come join the Sit n Stitch group! Trade tips or simply enjoy the company of fellow crafters while you work on your latest creation.

Writers Group Saturday, March 16th from 12:30 to 3:00pm Drop in for a quiet place away from home to hit your word count goal, or to socialize with other local writers. You bring the talent and we'll provide the tea, snacks, and quiet – not to mention a whole building full of research material and inspiration!

Book Club Monday, March 18th at 6:30pm Join us for our monthly book club! March's selection is Moloka'i by Alan Brennert. Rachel Kalama, a spirited seven-year-old Hawaiian girl, dreams of visiting far-off lands like her father, a merchant seaman. Then one day a rose-colored mark appears on her skin, and those dreams are stolen from her. Taken from her home and family, Rachel is sent to Kalaupapa, the quarantined leprosy settlement on the island of Moloka'i. Here her life is supposed to end--but instead she discovers it is just the beginning.
