A Little Ray of Sunshine
by Kristan Higgins
This is one of my favorite books in many a day. I always love her books, but this one is special. The perfect setting: a cozy, family run bookstore on the Outer Cape. A perfect heroine in Harlow and her snarky, but loving family, then add in an excellent best friend, a good guy friend from high schoo, a long lost son, plus a delightful cast of secondary characters who leap off the page and straight into your heart, and you've got a winner! Every description of the Outer Cape is spot-on, and every line of dialog is absolutely pitch perfect. I think you're going to love this one too!

Pineapple Street
by Jenny Jackson
This is a glorious debut novel, by a seasoned pro in the publishing world, written during the forced isolation of the pandemic, I think we can safely say that Jenny Jackson knows her stuff! Her delicious details of how the other half live, her delightfully witty banter, and her likeable yet fallible characters combine to make this book truly un-put-down-able! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Take What You Need
by Idra Novey
Idra Novey is a master of communicating through what is not explicitly said. The way she weaves through time and space makes the focal setting- the Allegheny Mountains of Appalachia- feel like a character. If you are a fan of "quiet" fiction and messy interpersonal dynamics, this is a book for you.
