A Circle of Friends

The month of November brings thoughts of gratitude. The Friends of the Ventress Memorial Library are grateful for all of the young people in our lives. Whether riding bikes, frolicking at the beach, or hanging out at the skate park, our young people bring energy and joy to our town. On Saturday, November 15, we will hold a Tots to Teens Book Sale from 10 to 3. What better way to promote our young ones’ curiosity and knowledge than with the gift of books?

Come one, come all! Gently used books, games, and puzzles for all ages  are waiting to find new homes. From board books to picture books, early readers to graphic novels, and chapter books to young adult novels, there is something for every young and young-at-heart person in your life. All books will be reasonably priced, from under a dollar to a dollar each. Games and puzzles will be temptingly priced, too, at just a few dollars each. Come fill your bags, cross off some early holiday gifts, and join us in filling young people’s lives with the magic of books, games, and puzzles.

November’s Auction Table Theme: Letters A-J: From Art of Cursive Penmanship to Jazz, a History of America’s Music. Come make a bid!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Friends!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Sometimes Stormy explores what it’s like to live with a parent struggling with alcohol use disorder. A young boy named Ezra realizes his dad is plagued by a troubling storm—the Sometimes Storm—that sometimes visits their home and changes Dad. He goes searching for the storm’s favorite thing, hoping that he can make it go away.
