Join us at the Grass Valley Library to learn all about the sweet side of science. We will be learning about all things sweets and the chemical reactions that make them happen. Every participant will get a chance at making and sampling their own sweet concoctions. Tasty! No registration required. Ages 5 and up.

Come play with tech as a family and explore what your library has to offer! Includes robots, circuits, coding, and more. Drop-in, no registration necessary, ages 5 and up. Thursdays at 4pm A weekly program for manga and anime fans to eat snacks, debate their favorites, and make stuff.

Teen Lock-In: Video Games (MH)Friday, December 14, 6-10pmJoin us for a night where teens get to explore the depths of the library after hours with no parents to be seen. There shall be plenty of video games, food, crafts, and fun! Ages 13-18. Please register and return permission slip.

Thursday, December 6, 3pm Join us for a musical presentation and learn about Nevada County’s tradition of singing the Carols of Cornwall with local author Gage McKinney and the Cornish Carol Choir.

Wednesday, December 19, 4pm Before you head down to Victorian Christmas, stop by the Foley library, and join us as we celebrate! Admire the Victorian-themed items from our archives, and learn how Christmas has been celebrated historically in Nevada City. There will be lights, decorations, and plenty of treats and cider.
