Innermost House and the Ideal of Simplicity: a Talk on Tiny Houses and Happiness. Join us for an afternoon of stories, pictures and conversation presented by Diana Lorence, who will speak of her experiment living the ideals championed by Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Thoreau, John Muir and Ansel Adams. For seven years, Lorence and her husband lived in an electricity-free, 12’ x 12’ foot home they built themselves, hidden in an oak and redwood forest of Northern California, in a world lit only by fire. Their “Innermost House” has since been recognized as “The Most Inspiring Small House Ever” and perhaps the most widely known tiny house in the world.
