Authors Bob Barde and Pat Cunneen present South End: Sport and Community at the Dock of the Bay, a comprehensive history of San Francisco’s iconic South End Rowing Club. It provides a comprehensive history of the South End Rowing Club and retraces the city's social and sporting milieu in the early post-Gold Rush days to the present time.

Join our Harry Potter themed book club as we discuss one book per month with a screening of the film adaptation the week after each meet. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone follows Harry Potter in his first year of magic school as he discover truths about his parents' death and finds a place to belong. Activities will follow including a house sorting. For ages 8 and up.

SOFT POWER

Join SFMOMA researcher Yomna Osman for an exploration of the exhibition SOFT POWER. Taken from the Reagan-era term used to describe how a country’s “soft” assets such as culture and political values can be more influential than coercive or violent expressions of power, the title contemplates the potential of art and offers a provocation to the public to exert their own influence on the world.
