June 2019

Changing Spaces
Main Library

We are refreshing spaces and switching the Law Library and the Children's Department.  While there's a bit of commotion, we are open!  We'll also start some limited regular hours for our Special Collections Room - Tuesdays, 10-2, and the second Saturday of each month from 1-4. Come on in!

Reading Adventures
Explore Your World

Register at your local branch beginning June 15 and pick up your Reading Adventures passport.  Or download a copy online.
Start reading and attending programs to get your passport stamped.  Every time you visit the library to check out books or attend a program you'll receive a passport stamp.  There'll be a new stamp each week as you visit all the continents. This is fun for all ages.  Find out more!

Book Buzz

It's no surprise that we have some great suggestions for your summer reading.  Look for Book Buzz for all ages in Books & Media!

The American South as We Know It
Join us at the Main Library on Sunday, June 9, at 2 pm for a screening of the documentary The American South as We Know It, presented by director and producer, Frederick Murphy. Discussion and Q&A to follow the film.

 Movies @ Your Library
Did you know that most of our locations host a movie night at least once a month?  Join us for matinees or special showings of films you may have missed.

Alice's Ordinary People
If you missed Alice's Ordinary People in April when director Craig Dudnick was here, check out the video to view at your leisure.
