February Closing 
All Richmond Public Libraries will be closed February 16 and 17 for Presidents' Day.  We will reopen on Tuesday, February 18.

Gellman Room Concerts
February 22 and 29, both concerts start at 2 pm
Main Library
The performance on February 8 is cancelled; however, you can still enjoy two concerts this month.  The Chamber Music Society of Virginia presents "America Now," in which four composers draw on their past as they represent the future.  The Greater Richmond Children's Choir performs "Lyrics, Learning, and Laughter" on February 29.  As always, these performances are free and open to all.
Friends' Book Drive
February 8, 9-2

Spring cleaning or decluttering?  Support the library and get a tax deduction when you clear your shelves of your used books, CDs, DVDs, and paperbacks.  Donated books will be sold in the semiannual sale April 3-5, 2020.  
 
Dropping off your items is easy.  Drive up to the back of the Main Library and volunteers will be on hand to unload your items!
RVA Environmental Film Festival

Fiction Focus
Starts the week of February 17, meetings begin at 10:15 am

In partnership with Richmond's Office on Aging & Disabilities, we are hosting Fiction Focus, a book group for City residents 55+.  We supply copies of the books - you supply the conversation.  Meet in our branches to discuss new or favorite fiction (and some nonfiction!).  Contact the branch for more information and a list of the books.  North Avenue, 646-6675; Belmont, 646-1139; Westover Hills, 646-8833.
