Love Stinks Chocolate Party!Tired of making a fuss over Valentine's Day? Escape from the all mushiness at our Love Stinks Chocolate Party! Back by popular demand! Join us for a party where Cupid, flowers, and public displays of affection are strictly prohibited. Instead, we'll be making crafts, playing games, listening to heartbreaking music, and of course....EATING ALL THE CHOCOLATE! This event is free and open to teens ages 12-18. No registration required. The Brotha-to-Brother Project Kids' Summit The purpose of this event is to show young black men ages 10 through 18 that there are many ways to prosper professionally and personally as black men in America, teach them the importance of preserving their mental health by effective communication, and give an outlook of professional opportunities that are more than just what America presumes that are only ways of black men prospering - sports and music. In addition, we are also holding a short "Father Talk" seminar where fathers can voice amongst each other the issues they may face raising kids in 2020 and beyond, how to motivate their child to be great at what their child's dreams are, and, most importantly, how to have healthy communication with their son(s). 3D Printer Orientation Are you interested in printing your own design on the Library's 3D printers? We are now offering use of our 3D printers to Richmond Public Library cardholders. Before reserving printer time, we require attendance at a 90-minute orientation session to go over how to format a design to be print ready, how to operate the 3D printer, and for an overview of our usage policies.
