Friends' Spring Book Sale April 5 - 7 The Friends are ready for you to buy, buy, buy to help them support Richmond Public Library! They have books, LPs, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, and more books for all ages. Members of the Friends get in early on Friday, April 5, from 10-Noon.* Then the sale opens to all and runs until 5 pm. A short break and then you can do some more shopping from 7-9 pm. The sale continues on Saturday from 10 - 4 and Sunday 1 - 4. *Not a Friend? Join at the door! |

National Library Week April 7-13, 2019 To celebrate, we have a number of events planned: - Ripple the Reading Otter shares one of his favorite stories about the library at all RPL locations.
- You can create a square that will be linked together & displayed at your library.
- We'll have a pop-up library in the City Hall atrium from 10am-2pm Monday thru Friday.
- Young Adult Virginia Authors titles will be announced.
- And...All items returned during National Library Week will be fine free! For details, visit What's Happening!

RBDigital Beginning April 1, we will have over 28,000 more simultaneous use audiobook titles available through our online library and the RBDigital app. This is a core list of adult and children's titles - something to read for everyone. Just click on the RBDigital icon and find your next good book.

We are looking for the best indie-published adult and YA fiction by a Virginia author. Contest starts April 1 - details are available here.

Shortlist TBA April 4, 2019 Fiction books for the International Dublin Literary Award are nominated by invited public libraries, including Richmond Public Library, in cities throughout the world. Titles are nominated on the basis of 'high literary merit' as determined by the nominating library. The RPL team has been reading dozens of titles and recommended three titles for consideration. We're waiting to see if our titles make the shortlist to be announced April 4.
