As mentioned above, we have a lot going on at the East End this month! You can find the full calendar
here, but here are a few special shout outs for some of the biggest programs:
GRTC will be coming back to the East End to talk about bus route expansion. Carrie Rose Pace will be here to hear concerns and discuss new routes that will be coming to Church Hill. If you have any questions, bring those on June 6 at 6:00pm
Trying to navigate Medicare or Medicaid? Know anyone who is? It can be a complicated process, and we can usually use all the help we can get. The East End Library has your back! On June 18 at 10:30am, Errick Jones from Humana will be here to explain the process and help answer any questions you may have. Come by that morning, or call Mr. Jones at (804) 386-4179.
Garden was going well, but some critter got to it? Leaves suddenly spotty and dropping off? There can be so many pests and fungi, it's hard to know where to turn, so we're bringing the experts to you! On June 19 at 4:00, the Master Gardener's will be on hand to diagnose, troubleshoot, and otherwise help you tackle your garden woes!
There is still room in the Classics You Forgot to Read book club! Join a fun and engaged group of like-minded readers, as we explore classics that we've either never read or read long ago. This month we are discussing Ellison's Invisible Man, and will get next month's title. Classics You Forgot to Read meets the third Thursday of every month, and our next meeting is 6pm on June 20.
***LATE ADDITION*** A local Girl Scout troop formed at the library last month, and they will have their first official meeting on June 22 at 12:00pm. If you have any daughters, granddaughters, or nieces interested in becoming Girl Scouts, they are looking for new recruits of all ages!
