Read Up Richmond October 14, 7 pm Main LibrarySave this date for our inaugural author event! Richmond Public Library Foundation is sponsoring two great authors - Jesmyn Ward and Alex Kotlowitz in conversation on October 14 at 7 pm at the Main Library. Ward is a MacArthur Genius and two-time National Book Award Winner for Sing, Unburied, Sing, and Salvage the Bones. In her talks, Ward shares her writing process and how her experiences growing up poor and Black in the South continue to influence her work. For more than three decades, Kotlowitz has brought an acute and empathetic lens to on-the-ground reporting in many forms of media—print and radio journalism, documentary film, and books. You won't want to miss this! Check our What's Happening page for the latest news about this and other events at Richmond Public Library.
