Sign up for our Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Virtual S.T.E.A.M. Book Club!
Who else feels like they've waited all their life for a Hogwarts acceptance letter? Well, you're in luck because the Putnam County Library System is going to host some Hogwarts at Home virtual activities - starting the second full week of May. It’s all part of a Virtual Literacy Drive called “Reading Takes You Places,” in partnership with the Putnam County School District. We’ll also be doing some online story times for the younger children.
If you don’t have a copy of the book, be sure to check out Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (book one in the series) on eBook or Audiobook with OverDrive or Libby before April 30. It’s a 21 day loan and it's free with your library card! If you don't have a library card with us, you can sign up for an “Instant Digital Card” using your mobile phone number.
This virtual Harry Potter S.T.E.A.M. Book Club will include discussion questions and activities delivered via email (and posted on our website www.FunInPutnam.com and www.Facebook.com/PutnamLib page). These e-blasts will look like a newsletter except they’ll have fun videos, links to free resources, demos, and do-it-yourself Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math challenges!
