On Exhibit: A Splash of Color
Brooke Peterson strives to find interesting ways to use palette knives and utilize everyday household items to add various textures to my paintings. I find this a fun creative way to layer and add interesting depth to my subject matter. I put on some good music and let my mind wonder a bit without the pressure of being so concise with my brush strokes. The colors are bright and fun and meant to provoke feelings of joy and happiness.

The Art Gallery is open Monday-Friday 9 AM-3 PM, Saturday 9 AM-12 PM, and Sunday 12-4 PM (Labor Day through Memorial Day). If the meeting room is in use, the gallery will be closed to the public. Want to visit at a certain time? Call the Library at (515) 978-7944 to check availability.
