New! Stay in the Know with Push Notifications The Waukee Public Library app now supports push notifications to keep you informed about emergency closures and last-minute program cancellations. To receive these important alerts, you’ll need to opt in. Simply open the WPL Go app and sign in through the “My Account” section. Then, tap the menu icon in the top right corner, choose “Preferences,” toggle the “Library News” notification option to ON, and select “Allow” when prompted. Teen Maker Packs July 1 | Library HoursA fun project with a different activity to pick up the first week of each month. Packs come with most of the needed supplies to complete the activity. This month, students will make origami. For students entering grades 6-12 in the fall. Registration is required. Any packs that are unclaimed by the end of the designated pickup dates will be available to be picked up in the library on a first come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Students will play water dodgeball with sponge balls on the library lawn and end the time eating ice cream together. Please wear clothing instead of (or over the top of) swimwear and bring your own towel. In the case of inclement weather, alternative non-water games will be played inside.
