Save the Date!
Summer Reading Kickoff Party
Our Summer Reading Kickoff Party will be held Friday, June 5, to celebrate the start of the annual Summer Reading Challenge. Spend an afternoon at the Library with a petting zoo, popsicles, popcorn, bubbles, lawn games, mini-golf, crafts, and Wood Dale’s own Brito’s Tacos, with food and beverages available for purchase. You’ll even have a chance to meet and take a photo with Stella the Sloth!
 
New! For Adults
Continue the celebration with our first Summer Reading Encore, an after-hours event just for adults, on Saturday, June 6. Enjoy an outdoor performance by jazz duo Petra van Nuis and Andy Brown, along with light refreshments. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, or whatever you need to get cozy. In case of rain, this event will be held indoors. Registration begins Friday, May 1.

Did you know the Library offers graphics novels for all ages? Whether you're looking for graphic novels for youth, teens, or adults, our collection offers something for everyone.
 
Prefer reading digitally? Try out Comics Plus or the graphic novel collection in Hoopla, both of which are available with your Wood Dale Public Library card.
 
Can't get enough comics? The Library will be hosting Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 2! We'll have free comics for kids and teens (while supplies last), cosplay, superhero diamond art, and more.

If you are looking for a pick-me-up during your study session or want a quick treat on your way home from story time, visit our coffee bar!
 
Located next to the indoor book drop, the coffee bar offers a variety of seasonal hot tea and coffee beverages. Drinks are available for $1, payable by debit or credit card (no cash).
 
Our new seasonal selection includes lemon and ginger tea, mocha latte, and wild mountain blueberry coffee. Stop by next time you visit!
