Blind Date With a Book
Don't peek! Visit us throughout February for our annual Blind Date With a Book reading challenge. Choose a "date" from our collection of wrapped books, check it out, then take it home for the big reveal. Don't worry if it's not a love match! You can return the book and try again.

Each book comes with a Rate Your Date form for you to fill out and return to the Public Services Desk. For every form you hand in, you'll be entered into a drawing for a Valentine's Day-themed prize! This February, take a chance on a Blind Date With a Book—you just might fall in love!

Collection Highlight
Spring Gardening Tools Seed Library
Get ready for spring with our Seed Library! We have plenty of seeds that can be started indoors so they're ready to be transplanted outside when the weather warms up. View our cold weather vegetables, or browse the entire catalog for flowers, herbs, and warm weather vegetables, too.

Joining our Seed Library project does not require a library card or any commitment, but we encourage you to harvest seeds from your crop and return them to the Library to benefit the next season's gardeners. To learn more about the Seed Library, visit our website.

Movies & Music
Find romance this Valentine's Day with a cozy romcom or your favorite love songs. In addition to our physical movies collection, we have a huge collection of digital movies, music, television shows, and documentaries! Try Hoopla for everything from movies to music to TV, or check out Kanopy for popular movies and documentaries from around the world.

Our Library of Things also has several items to make your movie night unforgettable, including a projector and 100-inch screen, a Blu-ray DVD player, and Roku streaming sticks that come pre-loaded with Disney+, Hulu, and Netflix. While most items in the Library of Things Collection can be checked out by visitors from partner libraries, Wood Dale Public Library cardholders have an added benefit of being able to place holds! Learn more about other cardholder benefits, including how to register, on our website.
