Wickliffe Public Library is one of 120 libraries across the country to receive a grant for programming to mark the 100th anniversary of the nation's entry into World War I. These programs are part of World War I & America, a two-year national initiative of Library of America presented in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, and the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and other organizations with generous support from The National Endowment for the Humanities. April 20th @ 6:30pm: World War One and the Experience of America’s Veterans Dr. Eric M. Kendall, history professor at Lakeland Community College, will lead a conversation with local veterans from Wickliffe’s American Legion Post 7 revolving around the experiences of soldiers in the First World War and how those experiences may inform our understanding of contemporary veteran’s issues. Refreshments provided. Registration required.
