Summer Reading for All Ages! 
 
 
Take a trip around the world this summer at your local Charleston County Public Library during our 2025 Summer Reading Program! In partnership with Charleston County School District (CCSD), the program promotes reading and offers incentives throughout the summer, along with featured events for all ages. Adult Summer Reading Program: Read Around the World  
Exploring International Flavors 
Saturday, May 3 from 10-11:30 a.m. 
Flavors and seasonings change everywhere you travel. Explore the spices and cooking methods of international cuisine, from the cold northern climes of China to the lavender fields of Provence and the sun-drenched streets of Morocco. With professional chef Rebecca Antill, participants will create dishes from a specific country, learn food traditions and methods of preparation from around the world.

Lutheran Hospice, a local nonprofit, is coming to talk about Advanced Directives and Hospice Care. The Five Wishes is a legal document (advanced directive) recognized in the state of South Carolina. Hospice care covers end-of-life care options available to you and your loved ones when the need arises.

Learn to Use Libby  
Monday, May 5 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. 
Explore the ways to use the Libby app- more than e-books! Bring a device like your phone or tablet if you'd like to use the app in class. 
 
Finding Popular Sites and Apps  
Monday, May 19 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. 
Practice utilizing some advanced search techniques to find the sites and content you need.  
Discuss downloading versus streaming and learn how to interact with online maps and  
shopping sites. Explore social media features and how to install apps, too. 
 
Registration is currently requested for all technology classes and programs
(except for Tech Team Help Labs) and usually begins one week before the training is held.

Join the Clemson Tri-County Master Gardeners to learn about nature and make a cool craft. This program is geared to kids ages 5-12.

Explore and experiment with science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics in this interactive club. Space may be limited.

Read with a Therapy Dog
Saturday, May 31 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. 
Build confidence in reading by practicing with a STAR therapy dog. Many studies show that reading skills can often be improved by reading aloud to a therapy dog, an audience that is nonjudgmental.
