Do you play Mahjong? Are you interested in learning to play Mahjong?  No need to be an expert as all skill levels are welcome.  Participants are encouraged to bring your cards and Mahjong sets if you have them.

 SUMMER READING 2025
 
 
Believe it or not, summer is just around the corner.  This is an exciting time for us at the Edisto Island Branch Library because we love Summer Reading!  This year's theme is Read Around The World.  The purpose of the Summer Reading program is to encourage children to continue reading throughout the summer and also encourage adults who may not have time to read during the winter to take time to read during the summer months.  What is better than enjoying a good book and winning prizes as you do so?
 
Registration for the 2025 Summer Reading program begins May 1
 
 Take a trip around the world this summer at your local Charleston County Public Library during our 2025 Summer Reading Program! In partnership with Charleston County School District (CCSD), the program promotes reading and offers incentives throughout the summer, along with featured events for all ages. CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISTS
 
 
We are excited to have a wall to exhibit artwork by local artists!  Our first exhibit is by local patron and friend, Dot Keach.  Dot is a long-time resident of Edisto Beach and many do not know that she is a very talented artist.  Dot's art will be on display until the end May at which time we will feature another local artist.  Stop by and see Dot Keach's artwork and while you are here, ask us about how to feature your talents on our wall.  If you are an artist and would like more information, please call Teri Blackberg at 843-869-2355.
