Japanese Magical Journey Monday, July 14 at 1 p.m. Combining traditional Japanese theatre, music, origami, magic, and storytelling, Yasu will guide audiences to the enchanting land of Japan. He will share excerpts from a Japanese traditional folktale with origami and a Japanese traditional vaudeville act with the playing of a traditional flute. All ages welcome.

Criss Cross MangosauceFriday, July 11 at 11 a.m. Don't miss this bilingual and bicultural performing group, offering an interactive performance blending traditional Latin rhythms with classic American children's rhymes to get kids moving and singing in both English and Spanish! This program was made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the South Carolina State Library.

STEAM Saturday: Spin ArtSaturday, July 12 at 10:45 a.m. Join us at the library for a Saturday Science Experiment. We will be learning how to use a spin art machine to create unique art pieces while learning about symmetry and radial balance. Gardening with Ms. KarenWednesday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m. Ms. Karen, Sundrops Montessori Garden Science Teacher, will read a gardening story to children and engage them in a fun lesson and activity about edible plants.

Family Storytime Every Thursday in July at 10 a.m. (except July 3) Family Storytime is for all ages. Together we will sing songs, read books, and engage early literacy skills! A craft or activity will be available at the end.

DIY Library Tote Bag Tuesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. Bring an old t-shirt to the library and learn how to turn it into a tote bag that can carry your books! This is a no-sew activity for ages 8+.

Donut Diorama DayTuesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. Can you build a structure out of donuts? Give it a try at the library! Ages 8+ are invited to engineer a structure using donuts and toothpicks.

Brown Bag Book Club Wednesday, July 9 at 11:30 a.m. Chat and chew (bring a bagged lunch!) about books in the mystery and suspense genre.

Tango with Tango Rojo Monday, July 28 at 2 p.m. Adults are invited to take a one-hour introductory Argentine tango class with Dale of Tango Rojo! This class will be held at the library, with 20 registration spots available. Please call the library at 843-884-9741 to reserve your space! All participants will be required to sign a waiver.
