Yoga for Kids Tuesday, June 3 at 3:30 PM Yoga for Kids blends playful activities, storytelling, and yoga poses to nurture physical fitness, mindfulness, and creativity in a supportive environment. We have a selection of yoga mats available on a first come, first served basis.

Make Your Own Travel Journal Thursday, June 5 at 3:30 PM Kids can get creative making their own travel journals to capture past vacations and dream up future adventures! With photos, drawings, and notes, they'll create a keepsake full of memories and imagination!

Big Bang Boom Wednesday, June 11 at 4 PM Big Bang Boom is a live, interactive, educational musical performance. They write and perform parent-friendly children's music. The show is upbeat, fun and energetic! All ages welcome.

"Explore the World" Bingo Thursday, June 12 at 2 PM Join us for an hour of bingo during which children will learn about world landmarks while having fun and winning fabulous prizes!

The Soup Opera: Reading and Eating Around the World Monday, June 16 at 3 PM First, we'll hear a very silly story about food (and opera!) complete with chances to sing loudly in your best opera voice! Then, take a trip around the world with our book stations and try a sample of some of the foods you'll read about! Take home one of the books and/or the recipe to cook at home!

Bike Rodeo Wednesday, June 18 at 1 PM Kids are invited to bring their bikes or scooters and their helmets to learn about bike safety and then practice on a course. For ages 3-11.

Charleston Stage: All Smiles Wednesday, June 18 at 4 PM Charleston Stage presents "All Smiles," an interactive theatre experience for early childhood up to second grade. Explore how all smiles are unique at each show!

Summer Reading June 1-August 15 Plot your escape this summer at Charleston County Public Library as we host our 2025 Summer Reading Program, Read Around the World. In partnership with Charleston County School District (CCSD), this year's program invites readers of all ages to explore new worlds through books, enjoy special events throughout the summer, and earn prizes along the way. This year, Summer Reading prizes will become available on set dates as you reach your reading milestones. Earn your prizes while supplies last and pick them up throughout the summer starting on the following dates: - 5-hour prizes available starting June 16
- 15-hour prizes available starting July 7
- 30-hour prizes available starting July 21

Cynthia Graham Hurd Community Day 2025 Saturday, June 21 from 11 AM-3 PM Join us to celebrate the life and legacy of Cynthia Graham Hurd with a community celebration in remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Mother Emanuel Nine. This is a family-friendly event with community organizations and local vendors as well as a performance from the Plantation Singers.
