Friends' Book and Bake SaleDate: Saturday, November 3rd from 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Sunday, November 4th from 12-2 p.m.Location: Meeting RoomDescription: Stop by the library to pick up some books and some tasty treats at the Friends' annual Fall Book and Bake Sale! All proceeds go to the Friends of the Pembroke Public Library and are used to fund "extras" for the library including discounted museum passes, best sellers, items for our library of things, and programs for all ages. The Friends' Basket Raffle winners will be drawn on the first day of the sale, so there is still time to participate! Raffle tickets can be purchased at the main desk for $1 each or 6 for $5.

Photo Tour of the North River Date: Monday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m. Location: Meeting Room Description: In this free presentation by the North and South Rivers Watershed Association (NSRWA), learn about the fascinating history and ecology of these rivers and see some beautiful pictures. The North River is the first designated Scenic Protected River in Massachusetts and the North and South Rivers have been designated a National Historic Landmark by the National Park Service. Between 1645 and 1871 over 1,000 ships were built along the North River, including at shipyards in Pembroke. The NSRWA is a non-profit grassroots environmental organization that has been dedicated to the preservation and protection of the North and South Rivers, their streams and marshes for almost 50 years. YogaDate: Every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.Location: Meeting RoomDescription: Led by Barbara Ward and other instructors from the YogaConnection of Plymouth. Open to all levels. Fee: A single-class drop-in is $12 and a four-class registration is $45 ($35 for Friends members). Friends members can also purchase an eight-class punch ticket for $80, which is valid for three months.
