Vox Books are now available at the Plainville Library! Children's Room Vox Books are our newest addition for Children's Audio Books. Our Listening Library has always offered quality picture books that have an accompanying CD so that children can listen to the story and read along with the storyteller, following the prompts to turn the page when needed. Vox books are based on the same idea but they DO NOT REQUIRE A CD PLAYER - Vox books come with an AUDIO PLAYER ATTACHED TO THE COVER. Vox books players have a built in speaker but also have a jack if you prefer to use a headset. These players are also rechargeable, which makes them truly self contained audio playback books! We are excited to be able to offer you over 80 titles - fiction, non-fiction and early readers! These items circulate on a 2 week basis and, because we are the only library in the SAILS network to have these books, they can only circulate out of the Planville Library - NO inter-library loan is available with these books, therefore they must be returned directly to the Plainviille library as well.
VOX™ Books AUDIO-ENABLED BOOK READER Print book, meet audio book. VOX™ Books are the world’s first audio books that live in print books. The permanently attached VOX™ Reader transforms an ordinary print book into an all-in-one read-along. There’s no need for computers, tablets or CDs. Children simply push a button to listen and read. VOX™ Books combine outstanding picture books and non-fiction with audio recordings that capture children’s attention and make learning and literacy development fun.

Pepper flow- alternating between dancing, clapping, and intent listening.
