While the Civil War raged in America, another revolution took shape in the studios of Paris: the artists who would make Impressionism the most popular art form in history were showing their first paintings amidst scorn from the French establishment. The drama of this movement's birth would resonate around the world. 2 p.m., SC When best friends Jackie O'Shea (Ian Bannen) and Michael O'Sullivan (David Kelly) discover someone in their small Irish village has won the lottery, they set off to see winner and find him dead from shock. Since the dead man is the only one who can claim the prize, the townsfolk band together to fool the lottery claim inspector and find a way to split the cash. 7 p.m., WL Theatre Hailing from New England, Occidental Gypsy plays a dynamic, multi-genre mix of original vocal and instrumental pieces.
