Tales to Tails* Monday, October 13, 5:30-7:00 pm Children of all ages are invited to boost their reading skills and make a furry new friend by reading aloud to Shakespeare, a certified therapy dog from the Independence Fire Department. Shakespeare has passed both obedience and temperament tests and receives regular veterinary care, making him a perfect, patient listener for young readers. Private 15-minute reading sessions are available between 5:30 and 7:00 PM at the library. *Advance registration is required, and a signed parental consent form must be submitted before participating. iTAB Meeting Thursday, October 16, 4:00 pm Calling all creative thinkers and changemakers! The iTAB (Independence Teen Advisory Board) meeting is a monthly gathering where local teens come together to share ideas, help plan library events, and give input on teen services and collections. Boo Bash! Friday, October 24, 5:00-7:00 pm @ the Falcon Civic Center Join us for a skele-ton of fun at this year’s Boo Bash from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Falcon Center! All ages can drop in to enjoy games, crafts, face painting, prizes, and a photo booth to celebrate Halloween. Wear your costume to the Falcon Center and carve out time to have some Halloween fun!
