Summer Reading Kick-off Saturday June 16, 11:00 AM-3:00PM There's something for everyone with our Summer Reading Program, themed Libraries Rock! The party begins with a family concert from Princess Fearless (11:00-11:45AM) followed by a Musical Junkyard Build (1:00-3:00PM), and a pop-up children's booksale (12:00-2:00PM).

Join us on the Library's front lawn for this free, fun show for all ages! Markie Sholtz brings back her beautiful puppets for a short summer puppet show for kids ages 3 and up. Zed the dragon has spent his whole life trying to figure what makes him, well, him. He knows there are a lot of things he is not good at, so imagine his surprise when he discovers his musical talent! Thanks to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring this annual puppet show.

Free Summer Lunch Weekdays, 12:00-1:00 PM Families can stop by every week day from 12-1 to have a free healthy lunch, starting Monday, June 11 throughout the entire summer. Thanks to Gallatin Valley Food Bank and HRDC, summer can be a time to bring people together for food, friends, and fun!

Bozeman Vs. Belgrade Teen Reading Challenge! June 1- July 31 Bozeman Public Library and Belgrade Community Library will holding a summer-long contest to see which town's teens can read the most pages this summer! Page counts can be submitted in person at at both libraries by filling out a contest book review form. If you're on the road this summer but still want to compete, Bozeman Public Library will also have an online entry form for teens to submit their reading info and page counts. Eternal glory, bragging rights and an epic trophy go to the winning library at the end of the summer!

Summer Reading Raffle Starting on June 1 and ending with the Teen Zombie Nerf War on July 28th, teens can earn entries by submitting Reading Contest book reviews (online or in person), completing Reading Bingo Challenges, attending the Friday Teen Workshops, or by volunteering at the Library during the summer. The more things you do, the more entries you get and the better your chances are! Monday, June 4 1:00-3:00PM Sewing 101: Learn to sew at the Library with Becky Nohava! Becky teaches the mechanics of the sewing machine, how to thread the machine, and various stitches. The second half of the class is devoted to making your own handbag with Becky's help along the way. Registration required. For Adults 18 and up. Look for another Project Sewing! class in late June.

Beall Park The Parks and Recreation Department and the Bozeman Public Library are teaming up with local wellness experts to bring you an outdoor summer wellness series in three of Bozeman’s favorite parks. Pure Barre Bozeman, Zephyr Cycling, and Ekam Yoga will be offering FREE pop up classes and many other organizations will be on hand to share their knowledge about health and wellness topics. Look for the Bookmobile at Beall park!

Come and learn the basics of bouldering in City of Bozeman Parks. Meet us at the Langohr Park Boulder. No experience necessary. Please wear athletic shoes (or climbing shoes if you have them).

Tuesday, June 19, 12:00PM OR 6:00PM New this summer- join us for a walk on a lovely in-town trail for a walking book discussion of Kristin Hannah's The Great Alone. Meet at the boulder in Depot Park to walk the Story Mill Spur Trail. Books are available for pick up at the Bozeman Public Library reference desk. Well behaved dogs are welcome to attend this book club!
