We've extended our Wednesday hours! Our new hours are: 
Monday - Wednesday 10am - 8pm
Thursday - Saturday 10am - 5pm
Sunday Closed
 
The library will be closed Monday, October 14, 2024 for the Federal Holiday.
Front Desk News
 
Art & Craft Exchange is available next to the Circulation Desk. Find gently used (or in some cases brand new) art and craft supplies. If you have something to share, such as Such as: Paints, Paint, Brushes, Palettes, Yarn, Crochet Hooks, Knitting Needles, Fabric, Thread, or Sewing Needles, feel free to drop them off with the Circulation Desk for others to browse and take.

Here's what's happening in Youth Services this month.
🎉 Celebration for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten! 🎉
 
We’re thrilled to share that our "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" program, which started in February 2023, is a huge success thanks to our amazing community! As of September 2024:
   🎓 93 children have registered.
   🏆 5 have completed the program!
   📖 16,600 books have been read!
   📚 166 prize books have been given out.
A heartfelt thank you to the Friends of the Culpeper Library for sponsoring this wonderful program. Keep up the great reading, and let’s continue to inspire a love of books in our little ones! This free program is open to children birth to 5 years old (or starting kindergarten) Stop by the library to sign up!

Trick or Treat in the Library
October 30th & 31st, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM
 
Calling all little ghouls & goblins! Join us for a spooktacular treat! Kids in costume can stop by any desk in the library to collect some goodies. 
 
We can't wait to see all your creative costumes! Come join the fun and celebrate Halloween with us!

Try our two suggested reading prompts! Registered participants can win prizes for completed challenges and enter an end of year drawing.

The Naturalist Is In!
Thursday, October 17th, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
 
 An Old Rag Master Naturalist will be here to answer questions you may have about things you find outdoors. They will be set up in the main Atrium so swing by and chat!
