CHILDREN: SNOW IS FALLING, BOOKS ARE CALLING Ages Birth to Grade 5 Sign up begins on Saturday, December 2 and reporting begins on Tuesday, December 26. The first fifty children to sign up will receive a free ticket to the family performance, The Magical Toy Shop, at the Noel S. Ruiz Theatre in Oakdale. Record the books you read on your reading chart. Each week you can select a prize from our treasure chest. The reading club runs through Friday, February 9. Join us for an ice cream party on Friday, February 16 at 6:30pm for anyone who participated in the reading club.

ADVANCED DIVISION BATTLE OF THE BOOKS: HIGH SCHOOL EDITION Gr. 9-12 Only Over the next few months, you’ll read the three official "Battle" books, remember as many details as you can from them, and compete in a fun trivia contest against other Suffolk County libraries for the title of Battle Champs. This year’s titles are: Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum, Starflight by Melissa Landers, and Highly Illogical Behavior by John Corey Whaley. The practice meetings (TBA) are at the library and the final Battle is Friday, March 23, from 6-9pm @ Connetquot High School. Please see a librarian if you are interested!
