 Shiloh Piano and Cello Duo: “Touch the Sky:
Taking a Journey Through Song”
 (Northport) Sunday, January 11, 2:00 p.m.
Shiloh is the premier piano and cello duo on Long Island. They will take you on a journey through various musical styles, performing unique arrangements of popular songs.

Floot4 Quartet: “Our Favorite Pieces Through the Ages”
 (Northport) Sunday, January 25, 2:00 p.m.
The Floot4 Quartet will showcase the spectrum of flute family instruments including alto flute, bass flute, C flute and piccolo.

 SympaticoJazz
 (Northport) Sunday, February 1, 2:00 p.m.
Sympatico is a traditional jazz quartet consisting of piano, upright bass, drums/percussion, and a vocalist. They play an eclectic collection of tunes that feature the music of Burt Bacharach, Sergio Mendes, and great female singers including Nina Simone, Etta James, and more.

Learn to Sing Harmony with Matt Ho,
Director of the Northport Chorale
(Northport) Friday, January 16, 7:00 p.m.
Always thought your voice was “too deep” for singing? Come explore the art of singing low harmony with the men of the Northport Chorale and director Matthew Ho.

New York and the Founding of America
Monday, January 12, 2:00 p.m. (via Zoom)

Out of the ashes of the British occupation and Evacuation Day in November 1783 at the American Revolution’s end, New York City emerged as the first capital of the United States. Join a docent from The New York Historical and explore the transformation from a British colony into the largest and wealthiest city in America.

Design a Bookmark Contest
Children in grades K-5 are invited to submit their original designs for our annual Design a Bookmark Contest. Entry guidelines and forms are available in the Children’s Room.
 
Twelve winning designs will be selected to decorate monthly bookmarks for the upcoming year. The deadline for entries is Monday, February 2. 
 


 
Crayons, Scissors & Glue, Oh My!

Families with children 4 years and up

Enjoy a room full of winter-themed craft projects to make and take home.

Noon Year’s Rockin’ Eve

Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Registration for the following Teen Volunteer Opportunities begins January 5.
Open to students in grades 7–12.
Open only to Northport-East Northport Public Library cardholders.
 
All volunteer items are to be picked up from the Northport Teen Center by January 21 and returned by January 30 to earn community service credit. You may choose a maximum of two volunteer opportunities in addition to Teen Advisory Board.
