Four Way Street Unplugged:
The Music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
(Northport) Friday, September 25, 7:00 p.m.
Four Way Street Unplugged brings the timeless music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to life
in an intimate acoustic performance. Three exceptional vocalists play acoustic guitars and
small percussion to recreate the breathtaking harmonies and unforgettable
songs that made CSNY legendary.

The Dedications
(Northport) Sunday, October 4, 2:00 p.m.
Led by singer John Zollo, this vocal group performs ‘50’s and ‘60’s harmony, rock and roll,
and ballads, as well as classic rock of the ‘70s and ‘80s, all with great musical accompaniment.

NAC Presents! Toby Tobias
(Northport) Thursday, October 8, 7:00 p.m.
Born and raised in South Africa, Toby has immersed himself in many genres of American music while never leaving behind his roots in the rhythms and melodies of his homeland. His keen ear for intuitive arrangements is a hallmark of his writing and performances which include modern folk and jazz.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Registration for the following Teen Volunteer Opportunities begins September 1.
Open to students entering grades 7–12.
Open only to Northport-East Northport Public Library cardholders.
 
All volunteer items are to be picked up from the Northport Teen Center by September 16 and returned by September 30 to earn community service credit. You may choose a maximum of two volunteer opportunities in addition to Disaster Master Volunteers.

Disaster Master Volunteers
Visit Disaster Master-Ready.gov to participate in the Disaster Master Game and test your knowledge of a wide range of emergencies. Then complete the Build a Kit Game to learn how to assemble a proper emergency kit. Once you have completed both games, compile a list of all eight passwords that you obtained at the end of each level in the Disaster Master Game, and a list of the items that you collected in the Build a Kit Game. Email your lists to teenvolunteer@nenpl.org to receive two hours of community service credit.

Teen Girls Studying and Using Tablet Together
SAT Preparation Workshop
(Northport) Thursdays, September 10, 17, 24, October 1,
6:15–8:45 p.m.
Teens entering grades 10–12
Registration begins August 14.

Students can prepare for the fall PSAT/SAT exams with teachers Jason Bernstein and Jay Berger. A non-refundable check for $165 payable to “Northport-East Northport Public Library” must be paid within three days of registration. Payment includes the workbook
for the SAT exam. Workbook will be handed out in the first class.
Your class placement is not complete until payment is received.
