Rock Painting with Rosco the Rock SnakeDates/Time: Fridays, 7/11-8/15, 11am-4pm Presenter: OFL's Children's Librarian Location: Juvenile Non-Fiction AreaOn Fridays throughout summer, we invite you to stop by our Rock Painting Station to paint a rock and leave it to dry and be added to Rosco the Rock Snake in our Garden! All summer long Rosco will grow longer the more people that join us in painting rocks. How long will Rosco the Rock Snake get by the end of summer? It's up to all of you! Enjoying watching this community art project evolve and grow all summer long. Playing is learning! Babies, toddlers and preschoolers along with their parents/caregivers are invited to spend time in OFL's playroom to play together and socialize. Children get the chance to interact with each other while parents/grandparents and other caregivers meet and chat. Special age appropriate toys will be featured in this program. Baby Book ClubDate/Time: Friday, 8/8, 10:30- 11:00am Presenter: OFL's Children's Librarian Location: Community RoomJoin our Baby Book Club! We'll meet in the Play & Learn Room. We will have several copies of the book of the month, with August's book being Dragon's First Taco by Adam Rubin. We can all hold, and read the same book together, and, just like our Family Storytime, we will do some simple finger plays and rhymes, all wrapped up in a baby-appropriate chunk of time of just a half an hour.
