Your Truck: (A Board Book with Minimalist Illustrations That Explores Ownership, Imagination, and Perspective) by Jon Klassen
BOARD BOOK:
Your Truck: (A Board Book with Minimalist Illustrations That Explores Ownership, Imagination, and Perspective)
by Jon Klassen

From Caldecott Medalist Jon Klassen comes the first board book in the Your Things series for the youngest of children. This is your truck. It is yours to have. Your truck is red, but it could be other colors too. It can carry things around, like a chair and table, a dog, or a horse. It will wait for you until you tell it to go, then it will go wherever you want, as far as you want, whenever you want. At the end of the day it will sleep, and you can sleep, too.

Jon Klassen brings his minimalist's touch to a soothing story of a simple object that a child can command and befriend, one that is there whenever the child chooses to visit it. Building on the quiet but evocative world he created in Your Farm, Your Forest, and Your Island, Jon Klassen invites young children to consider more things that are theirs and theirs alone, reinforcing that they have a right to things like solitude, exploration, and companionship.
When I Redraw the World by Audrey Vernick
PICTURE BOOK:
When I Redraw the World
by Audrey Vernick

An endearing and fun celebration of imagination and curiosity as a young girl imagines a world where everyone has a home, animals have tea parties instead of fights, and tree-house ice cream shops will be a thing.
Picture Perfect by Serena Patel
JUVENILE FICTION:
Picture Perfect
by Serena Patel

A quest for screen-free family time leads to camping chaos in this hilarious and heartwarming middle grade comedy from the author of the Anisha, Accidental Detective series.

Sonal needs to take a great family picture for her school photography project, but it's impossible to get everyone together! Luckily they're heading off on a family camping trip, which should provide lots of great photo opportunities. Not. Faced with an enforced digital detox, Sonal's family takes on the great outdoors, all while she tries and fails to snap photographic evidence of a picture-perfect family. Ripped tents, overturned boats, and a runaway puppy thwart her at every turn. Can the trip be salvaged, or will the weekend be a total photo flop?
Unfairies: A Graphic Novel by Huw Aaron
GRAPHIC NOVEL:
Unfairies
by Huw Aaron

Artemis Fowl meets Dogman in the first book of this madcap graphic novel series following factions of sneaky, double-crossing fairies who will do anything for control of their world, The Garden. Some stories will tell you that fairies are sweet, beautiful, and kind creatures who fly around with sparkly wands. But they are WRONG! Fairies are horrible, rude back stabbers who are constantly at war with each other. (They're not even magical, for crying out loud!) And then there's Pip, a clueless tree fairy who couldn't give two hoots about power and would rather just have a party. But after being tasked with delivering an important message from the root stores all the way to the top of the tree, Pip is thrown into a whirlwind adventure involving a dubious ancient prophecy, epic acorn-based warfare, and sinister plots that could shatter the delicate peace among the fairies for good. The Garden may be in desperate need of a hero . . . Too bad it'll have to settle for Pip.
