Books, resources, and literacy support for reading levels that grow with your child

March 2026

So far we have discussed how singing and talking support your child's early literacy devlopment, and this month we turn our attention to reading. Reading Rockets is a great resource for how to support your little as they begin their reading journey! The website has helpful arcticles with tips like: modeling finger-point reading, practicing patience with a slower reader, and encouraging attention to letters and sounds as you read together.

Maybe you love a good audiobook on the go with your littles, or prefer they practice with an e-reader from time to time? Check out the great beginning reader options on Libby and Hoopla as both audiobooks or ebooks. Now let's start reading about food at all our reading levels!
