The Booktober Crawl is designed to encourage residents of the South Shore and the Upper Cape to visit and explore the libraries spanning 3 counties and 25 cities and towns in Southeastern Massachusetts.   Wanted: More Readers!
Our children's book clubs are getting underway for the 2025-2026 season and we have open spaces in all 3 clubs.  We are especially hoping to add more members to our long-running and well-loved Cliffhanger Book Club, which is for kids and parents in grades 4 – 5.  What happens at book club?  We talk about favorite / least favorite characters, compare our funniest / strangest / saddest scenes, have a snack, hang out together and more!  Cliffhanger generally meets one Monday per month from 5:30-6:30 PM.  Want to know more about Cliffhanger or any of our book clubs for kids?  Please ask!  We're happy to help.
TEENS
Test Prep and Study Guides
'Tis the season for students to think about PSAT's, SAT's, vocational exams, career prep and more.  Thankfully, we subscribe to the Peterson's Test and Career Prep database so with your library card, you have access to career guides, resume builders, exam prep materials and much, much more. Have an idea of what you want to do, but aren't sure how to get there?  This resource can help.  Not sure what you want to do after high school?  This site can help with that too! Grab your card and LOG ON to get started.
We're Happy To See You!
Psst. Hey, teens!  It's us.  The people who sit at the desk in the YA room.  We've noticed more and more of you coming in to do homework, play games, complete puzzles and maybe just chill with friends before moving on to your next thing.  We're glad you're here.  Don't be afraid to say "hi!".  Let us know how your day went, ask questions if you have them, tell us the outcome of your latest test/meet/game/activity.  We are here to do our jobs and this is part of it.  Your librarians are here for you and we're glad you're here.
