Celebrating 2026
Here's the great thing about Library Land... we understand that many people like to gently ease into the New Year, kind of like slipping on those favorite fuzzy slippers and bathrobe before venturing on to the porch to grab the newspaper. Others want to grab the year head-on with a "new year, new you" mindset, full of goals, actionable items and big ideas.  We're here to help you welcome the New Year however works best for you.  We have comfy chairs, a puzzle in progress, new books, old friends, and programs, resources and displays created to suit all sorts of needs. We even have a creative way to allow you to vote for your favorite winter Olympic sport! Our resolution is to make 2026 the best year it can be and we look forward to doing that with all of you.

CHILDRENS
Winter Programming
We have a lineup of programs ready to take our youngest patrons and readers through the winter months.  Registration Day for all our registered programs will be on Wednesday, January 7.  As a reminder, all registrations are taken on a walk-in basis only for the first 3 days.  After that, you are welcome to register via email or phone if there is still space available. Most registered programs will begin the week of 1/12 and our drop-in programs will continue per usual. Our printable calendar has the days, times and descriptions of all our programs for kids and is available at the Children's desk!

  Tablets, Tech and Tots
The holidays have come and gone and there is a possibility that there is a new piece of technology in your household.  Looking for ways to help make it all a bit more meaningful for your children?  Check out the Kids eResources tab on our website.  LOTE4Kids offers books in more than 100 languages, including Portuguese, Arabic and American Sign Language.  Hoopla Digital offers a Hoopla Kids mode for free digital content and Tumblebooks is a fun, interactive book site with multiple language options as well.  Have questions?  Please ask!
